Almost of the horses at PRERI come through surrender, re-homing, animal control, and humane society or law enforcement facilities following impoundment due to abuse or neglect. Many of them are severely malnourished, with major health issues. They often have wounds and/or hoof deformities that require immediate concern or intervention. Providing for each neglected or abused and nursing a horse back to health costs on average $2,500 for the first six months!
Your tax-deductible contributions can provide total care and feeding for a horse for up to one full year.
